VoptXP is an effective utility to defragment your disk drives with no need to use the tool incorporated in your operating system. The defragmenting of a hard disk is a slow process and VoptXP does not perform miracles but it is certainly quicker than Windows own defrag tool.
It works by re-alligning the data that is totally safe and making a new copy of it before doing so in case of any interruption during the process that could ruin it.
