GooglePreview 3.10 Firefox – Preview Google search results in your browser

Googlepreviews is one of those small, simple apps you didn’t think about but that once you test, you can’t really live without.

This Firefox extension adds thumbnails next to search results in Google and Yahoo!, so that you can quickly get a glimpse of the websites those links are pointing to. These previews enable you to scan search results more quickly and what you’re looking for in a much easier way, as opposed to having to carefully read each link.

The extension’s settings window allows you, among other things, to set the number of previews that should be displayed on each page, which may be useful if they take too long to load or slow your browser down. During our testing there wasn’t a single problem though, and the extension worked perfectly.

Just like links themselves, thumbnails also point to their correspondent webpages. What I missed was the possibility to customize them in some way – at least in something as basic as being able to select their size.

Googlepreviews is a simple way to optimize Google and Yahoo! search results by adding thumbnailed previews of the websites they link to.
