Bluetooth Remote Control 0.9 (SP) – Remotely control PC apps from your phone

Despite the fact that I’m always losing it, my TV remote controller is one of my favourite objects in the whole house. I do enough walking when I’m outside so when I’m at home I like to use my legs as little as possible.

Unfortunately all the music I listen to at home is piped through my PC using Winamp. This means I often have to get up off the sofa when I want to skip a track or play a different album. This terrible state of affairs has now been remedied thanks to Bluetooth Remote Control.

If you use your PC as a home entertainment system like I do then you’ll love this one. The program turns your phone into a remote control, allowing you to access the basic functions of programs such as Winamp and Windows Media Player from your handset. In order to accomplish this, you just need to install the software client on Windows, synchronise your device and establish a connection between the two Bluetooth peripherals.

Other apps supported inlcude Powerpoint, PowerDVD and Media Center for Vista. Granted, the amount of control you have over these programs is pretty limited but for playback, pausing, rewinding, skipping, etc. Bluetooth Remote Control makes for an excellent weapon in the fight against exercise.

As a result, if you don’t like moving around too much at home then this is a great addition to your Smartphone software arsenal.
