iVPN 2.7 - The VPN GUI Apple left out

Posted by Feniks

iVPN allows you to have a Virtual Private Network (VPN) server interface even if you’re not actually running Mas OS X Server.

The application allows you to choose both the PPTP and L2TP protocols. You’ll then have to enter your username, password, IP address range and check router, subnet mask and server details. Details entered in iVPN can be stored in your keychain if you so wish.

Setting up a VPN is fairly easy and is both secure and stable. It’s very often chosen by businesses for connecting to a server without putting at risk company data and information.

You can easily set up a VPN connection via Network Preferences in your Mac, however some people might prefer the simpler interface offered by iVPN. You’ll have control on all the VPN settings instead of having it appear among the other connections created on your Mac.

iVPN brings a Virtual Private Network server interface to your Mac.
