DeskLickr 1.2 – Flickrize your desktop

DeskLickr makes good use of the thousands of photos on Flickr by allowing you to set a random one as your desktop everyday. The application sits discreetly in your menu bar and also shows the current Flickr list in a small window on your desktop. You won’t actually see photos from a Flickr list but clicking the program window will open your browser and take you to it on the Flickr site. We also suggest setting DeskLickr to automatic so you get a new image everyday.

DeskLickr lets you exclude lists that you don’t like and adding an image on your desktop is as simple as a click. We were a bit disappointed that images could not be browsed directly from your desktop and found that the application could take a bit of time to load. However, on the whole, DeskLickr makes good use of Flickr to add new images to your desktop.
