Mars Needs Cows 2.1-Help the Martians beam up animals from Earth
It seems that the Martians aren’t content with the animals they have on their planet because according to the plot of Mars Needs Cows, Mars needs cows.
As bizarre as it might sound, the aliens have decided they want to plunder the Earth for our livestock. In Mars Needs Cows you must help the E.T.s collect all the farmyard animals in a series of puzzles of increasing difficulty.
The puzzles in Mars Needs Cows consist of trying to move each of the animals that the aliens need onto the ‘X’ square. You do this by clicking on the animal you want to move, then choosing the direction you want it to move in, using the d-pad. Watch out though, because the animals will not stop moving in that direction unless there is something to block them. As a result, the challenge of each puzzle is to tactically maneuver each animal in order to complete the mission.
There are more than 2,000 unique puzzles in Mars Needs Cows, and as you score points and progress through the game, your rank in the alien military increases. The only trouble with this demo version is that the puzzles are a bit too easy and it quickly gets a bit repetitive and boring, although there are three difficulty levels in the full version of the game.
The graphics and sounds in Mars Needs Cows are very amusing (or should I say a-moo-sing?) and are full of funny farmyard noises and cartoon imagery.
Mars Needs Cows is a sprawling puzzle game with a sense of humor. It can get a bit repetitive though.

Opera Mini 4.2.13918-The Mini revolution in mobile browsing
If you’ve been using Opera Mini on your mobile you’ll know all about the benefits its brings. If not, you really should be using it. It’s the best way to get the most out of your mobile, making surfing the internet fast, secure and easy, plus you can use photo-sharing applications and subscribe to RSS news feeds from your favourite websites or blogs. And now Opera Mini promises to be even better with this new Beta version.
It still has a fast and free internet connection and when you open a webpage Opera Mini will give you a full-screen view and then suggest where to zoom in to begin reading. Of course you can choose yourself if you are looking for something specific. Importantly the software changes the size of the text so you can get as much information on your screen while still being able to read it. This optimization of pages ensures easy reading. You can even flip the screen to landscape mode to get a better view. And you can bookmark in the usual way. One simple feature I liked was the Opera Mini mouse which allows easy scrolling, an addition that many mobile packages are sorely lacking.

Resco Explorer 2009 5.02.1-The file explorer and manager for your Palm
I’ve always found viewing, managing and sorting files on a Palm something of a tedious and cumbersome process. We’ve all grown accustomed to using Windows Explorer or the Mac Finder to browse files, and small screen operating systems rarely make it as easy.
Resco Explorer changes all that though, providing an altogether more powerful and effective solution to the default Palm file browser. For starters, it provides a more intuitive way of viewing your files, with a file manager that displays your data and applications in a two-paned tree structure view. You can dig down or shift up through directories using the clear, accessible arrow icons.
One of the crucial features of Resco Explorer is the fact that it lets you launch applications with a single tap, something not usually seen on a Palm file manager. It also makes it easier to edit and customise applications associated with certain file extensions.
Another boon of the software is the way it handles compressed files for you. Thanks to an icon at the bottom of the screen, you can view the contents of zipped files just as you would if they were in an ordinary folder, along with the ability to uncompress them.
With a dazzling array of other features including an an image viewer, drag-and-drop file movement and secure storage, Resco File Explorer really is a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to managing files on your handheld. If anything, the sheer range of features, toolbar items and settings may put off new owners of a Palm device.
But for those who have grown tired of the simplistic file navigation on the Palm, Resco Explorer is a gift from on high.

ZQuake 2.2-Quake for Palm
ZQuake is a port of one of the most popular first person shooters, Quake, adapted specifically for Palm. That sentence alone should excite you. But I have a few more. This adapted version supports different resolutions (normal, left-handed or rectangular), uses both the buttons and the pointer, supports infrared keyboards and even includes multiplayer mode via Bluetooth.
As usual in most ports, the performance of the game depends on the technical resources of each device. And you need to have files from the original or demo versions of Quake 3D to be able to launch the game. It’s a little complicated to install, view ‘Notes’ below or the website for more info. But once you get it going, it is, of course, brilliant.

Foxmarks for Safari-Your favorite bookmarks anywhere with Safari
Foxmarks is possibly my favorite Firefox add-on and the release of Foxmarks for Safari has removed any barriers that were preventing me switching to Apple’s elegant Safari browser.
If you’ve never used it, Foxmarks is a free add-on for your browser that syncs and backs up your bookmarks across multiple computers and more. The result is that wherever you have Safari, you have your bookmarks with you at any time. What’s more, you never need to worry about losing your bookmarks again because Foxmarks always holds a backup of them on its servers.
If you’ve already signed-up for Foxmarks using Firefox then you’re already half way there. If not, you’ll need to sign-up which you do before or during installation. Create a username, enter a password and within less than 30 seconds, all of your bookmarks will appear in Safari. There’s a small Foxmarks icon in your menu bar which allows you to synchronise Foxmarks at any time and see your bookmarks on the Foxmarks server.
The only downside of Foxmarks for Safari is that, as with the Firefox version, the browser is prone to slowing down when bookmarks are syncing.
Foxmarks for Safari is an absolute essential for anyone who regularly relies on their bookmarks on the move.
